UAE-Italy travel: Air Arabia announces new daily flights from Sharjah to Rome
Airbus A320neo aircraft to operate daily flights to Italian capital
SHARJAH – Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest budget airline, has announced a new daily non-stop service connecting Sharjah International Airport with Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The route, set to commence on 1 July 2026, will bolster the airline’s growing European network and offer passengers direct connectivity between the UAE and Italy.
The launch of Rome as a destination marks a significant milestone in Air Arabia’s European expansion. Rome joins Milan Bergamo as the carrier’s second Italian destination from Sharjah, further enhancing its presence in Italy and providing travellers with more convenient options for both business and leisure trips.

Flights on the Sharjah-Rome route will be operated using the Airbus A320neo, part of Air Arabia’s modern and fuel-efficient fleet. The aircraft is designed to offer improved cabin comfort while reducing emissions, reflecting the airline’s commitment to sustainability and a high-quality passenger experience.
Air Arabia’s fleet currently consists entirely of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, the world’s best-selling single-aisle planes. Passengers can enjoy a range of onboard offerings including SkyTime, a complimentary in-flight streaming service, and SkyCafe, the airline’s menu of meals and snacks. Rome Fiumicino Airport has welcomed the announcement.
